This is one of the most famous examples of subliminal messaging in modern times – McDonalds flashing a subliminal message during the Food Networks Iron Chef show – they were caught and then denied it by saying it was a technical error that was corrected for all future airings.

McDonalds was an Iron Chef sponsor at the time, so why they needed subliminal messages to advertise on it is beyond us.

I don’t see why they denied it, as when watching the video frame by frame the guy found their logo which is plain to see for all of us. Ilay, the guy who caught McDonald’s sending subliminal advertising messages that are their logo shown for only 1/30th of a second put up the video on Youtube and it got over 250 thousand hits in a short amount of time.

What do you think? Did McDonalds mean to influence you while you were thinking about food? Does this mean they have done it before or are still using these underhand techniques, even though they say that they “don’t do subliminal advertising”?

Want more McDonalds subliminal messages? We have them 🙂
